Man who danced to Palat in theatre for girlfriend cheated on her? Viral post says so
A man's viral video of his theatre dance for his girlfriend took a turn after an influencer shared dating app exchanges with him, accusing him of cheating. Her post shifted attention from his performance to questions about his dating app activity.

If you’ve been scrolling Instagram lately, chances are you’ve come across that viral theatre video, a man passionately dancing to Palat, Tera Hero Idhar Hai from Main Tera Hero inside a movie hall, seemingly pouring his heart out for a woman believed by many to be his girlfriend.
The clip has been nearly impossible to escape, with users reposting it from multiple angles and sharing their own “POVs” of the now-famous performance.
The original video, posted by Instagram user panktipvtt, has crossed over 33.6 million views, catapulting the dancer into overnight internet fame.

The man in the now-viral clips was identified as Shaurya K Mishra, a dancer who regularly posted videos of his performances on Instagram.
As more clips of him dancing to Palat surfaced online from different perspectives inside the theatre, Mishra quickly became a trending internet personality, with many praising his confidence and dramatic performance style.
The viral Main Tera Hero theatre video comes from the ongoing David Dhawan Film Festival, a special retrospective by PVR INOX celebrating the filmmaker’s iconic comedy legacy ahead of his upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.
As part of the festival, some of David Dhawan’s biggest crowd-pleasers, including Main Tera Hero, Partner, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Raja Babu, and Aankhen, have returned to theatres for limited screenings, giving fans a chance to relive the over-the-top comedy, music, and full-on Bollywood chaos on the big screen again.
However, the attention surrounding Mishra soon took a different turn after content creator Pragati publicly shared what she described as her experience interacting with him on the dating app Hinge, asking viewers “not to go crazy” over the viral dancer.
In a video posted to her account, Pragati claimed she had downloaded Hinge on May 10 and received a like from Mishra around May 13. According to her, he complimented her frequently during their interactions and told her he had never seen a dancer like her before.
Pragati said she later deleted the dating app for three to four days before reinstalling it, adding that because they had not exchanged Instagram handles at the time, there had been no way for them to stay in touch. After reconnecting on the app, she claimed Mishra told her he had been worried he had “lost” her and suggested she should have shared her number or email ID.
According to Pragati, the two later exchanged Instagram accounts and continued talking there as well.
Things changed a few days later when Mishra shared the now-viral theatre dance video on his Instagram story. Pragati said she jokingly asked him whether he had got himself a girlfriend, referring to widespread assumptions online that the woman in the video was his partner.
She then added that Mishra replied saying yes, prompting her to question why he was still active on a dating app. According to screenshots and claims shared by Pragati, he responded by saying, “Yes, I had deleted it, but thank god you reminded me to ‘delete’ it again.”

In follow-up videos, Pragati shared screenshots that she claimed were conversations between her and Mishra on Hinge and Instagram, explaining that several users had questioned her account and demanded proof. She said she decided to share the chat receipts because she did not want people accusing her of fabricating the story.
Social media users reacted strongly to Pragati’s claims, with opinions divided between criticism and calls for caution before jumping to conclusions.
A section of users indirectly accused Mishra of being dishonest, with many commenters speculating that if the woman seen in the viral Palat video was indeed his girlfriend, remaining active on a dating app raised uncomfortable questions.
Some users described the screenshots as disappointing, particularly because the dancer had quickly become an internet favourite following his now-iconic theatre performance.
Others, however, urged restraint and said the internet may have rushed into assumptions too quickly.
Several commenters indirectly pointed out that no one actually knew the nature of Mishra’s relationship or whether the woman in the viral clip was his girlfriend at all, arguing that people were filling in blanks based on limited context.
Some users also defended the dancer, indirectly saying that one side of a story rarely captures the full picture and that Mishra should be given an opportunity to explain his version of events before online criticism escalated further.
