Hema Malini attended a special screening of Krishnavataram - Part 1: The Heart in Mathura and later congratulated director Hardik Gajjar. The event came days after Uttar Pradesh declared the film tax-free following a Lucknow screening.
Actor and Mathura MP Hema Malini attended a special screening of Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hridayam) at JV Cinema in Mathura on Tuesday evening. The screening was held days after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the film would be tax-free in the state following a special viewing in Lucknow last week.
According to the makers, Hema Malini watched the film in full and appreciated its scale, storytelling, performances and visual presentation. After the screening, she spoke to director Hardik Gajjar over a video call and congratulated the team. The makers said she also noted the film’s music, hand-painted costumes and handcrafted uncut jewellery.
Producer Sajan Raj Kurup, who was present at the screening, said, "Hemaji was all praise for the actors, direction and the production scale of the film. She watched the entire film and came out smiling."
He added, "We majorly shot the film in Gujarat – which is Shri Krishna’s karmabhoomi – and then we launched the trailer in Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mathura. We also took blessings at Banke Bihari Temple, Raman Reti Temple, Radha Rani Temple, Prem Mandir and ISKCON Vrindavan. Now, since the film is doing well across the globe and earning huge accolades, we screened it again here for Hemaji and other important people. We have got enormous blessings from the top religious gurus."
The makers said the film has also been released in several countries, including Gulf nations. The film is inspired by author Ram Mori’s book Satyabhama. At the special screening in Lucknow at the Lok Bhawan auditorium last week, those present included Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel, Deputy Chief Ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya, besides ministers and other dignitaries.
After watching the film, Yogi Adityanath congratulated the makers and actors for presenting Indian culture and devotion on a large cinematic scale. Those present at the Lucknow screening included lead actors Siddharth Gupta, who plays Lord Krishna, and Sanskruti Jayana, who plays Satyabhama, along with director Hardik Gajjar, producers Sajan Raj Kurup, Shobha Sant and Poonam Shroff, and other members of the team.
Directed by Hardik Gajjar, Krishnavataram Part 1 is presented and produced by Sajan Raj Kurup and Shobha Sant of Creativeland Studios Entertainment along with Poonam Shroff and Parth Gajjar of Athashrikatha Motion Pictures. The film has been conceived as the first part of a three-film franchise and is currently in theatres.
