India Today TV has accessed a letter written by Christian Michel, an alleged middleman in the AgustaWestland scam, on August 28, 2009 to Giuseppe Orsi, former chief of Finmeccania (now Leonardo), the parent company of AgustaWestland.
Michel's letter reveals that he had access to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), details of Manmohan Singh's meeting with respect to the chopper deal and his plan, senior ministers, bureaucrats and the defence ministry.
The letter also suggests that Michel was getting information about what was going on at top levels of the government, the PMO, the defence ministry and bureaucrats months in advance.
