Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that BJP did not mislead the Supreme Court on the Rafale deal. Sitharaman further added that it was the Congress party, and not the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), that has mislead the nation.
Speaking on Agenda Aaj Tak in New Delhi on Monday evening, Sitharaman said, "There was a grammatical error and we went to the court to get it corrected. Had we been wrong, we would have not gone."
She added, "There are three issues -- process, pricing and offset. There was nothing lacking in the process. The Congress party questioned the price; the Supreme Court said there was nothing wrong with the price. Even the offset deal is declared fair."
