Yamaha Fascino 125 gets a stylish design refresh, crosses 1.5 million production milestone
Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid receives a subtle design refresh with a sharper rear profile, while surpassing 1.5 million production units.

India Yamaha Motor has introduced a design update for the Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, enhancing its visual appeal while retaining its mechanical package. Alongside the update, the company is also celebrating a significant milestone, with the Fascino surpassing 1.5 million units in cumulative production since its launch.
The latest update focuses primarily on styling, with the rear section receiving a notable redesign. The scooter now features a newly sculpted tail with a distinctive V-shaped taillight, complemented by separate indicators, replacing the earlier integrated unit. The revised side panels adopt a cleaner, less curvy look, giving the Fascino a more contemporary and balanced stance.
Yamaha says the trimmed rear profile contributes to a more compact appearance, while also improving manoeuvrability in urban environments. New decals further enhance the scooter’s youthful and trend-focused appeal. These design changes have been conceptualised by Yamaha’s India-based R&D team, based on customer feedback.
Despite the cosmetic refresh, the Fascino remains mechanically unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 8.2bhp and 10.3Nm of torque. The hybrid setup, featuring Smart Motor Generator (SMG), provides electric assist during acceleration, along with silent start and stop-start functionality for improved efficiency.
Feature highlights include telescopic front suspension, side-stand engine cut-off, 21-litre under-seat storage, and E20 fuel compatibility. The top-spec ‘S’ variant also offers a colour TFT instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation and Yamaha’s Answer Back feature.
The Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid is available in three variants:
- Drum – Rs 76,500
- Disc – Rs 88,000
- S – Rs 95,200
(All prices ex-showroom, Delhi)
Colour options vary by variant, with the range including shades like Vivid Red, Metallic Black, Matte Grey, Cool Blue Metallic, and more.
Originally launched in 2015 as a 110cc scooter, the Fascino transitioned to a BS6-compliant 125cc fuel-injected model in 2019, before adopting hybrid technology in 2021. Subsequent updates have added features such as enhanced power assist and a TFT display, helping the model stay relevant in a competitive segment.
