Bold design and commanding proportions

The MG Majestor makes a strong visual statement with its upright proportions and muscular stance. MG claims it to be the longest, widest and tallest SUV in its segment, measuring 5,046mm in length, 2,016mm in width and 1,870mm in height, along with a substantial 2,950mm wheelbase.

At the front, the SUV features a large Mosaic Matrix grille flanked by distinctive Dragon Eye LED daytime running lamps and tri-beam LED headlamps. Inside, MG has focused heavily on comfort and technology with what it calls the ‘M-Lounge’ cabin theme. The interior features smoked ebony upholstery, soft-touch materials and layered dashboard detailing aimed at creating a more premium ambience.

The SUV will be available in both six- and seven-seater configurations. It also offers practical usability with 343 litres of boot space, expandable up to 1,350 litres with the third-row seats folded.

Feature highlights include ventilated and multi-mode massage seats with eight massage settings, a 12-way powered driver seat with memory function, an 8-way powered passenger seat, panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting and a 12-speaker JBL surround sound system.

Other convenience features include three-zone climate control, dual wireless chargers, a 220V power outlet, gesture-controlled powered tailgate and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

The cabin also gets dual 12.3-inch displays comprising the infotainment touchscreen and digital instrument cluster, paired with a column-mounted gear selector. MG’s updated i-Smart 2.0 connected car technology supports over 75 connected features and has been developed in collaboration with Jio for home-to-car connectivity, remote functions and integrated music streaming services.

Powering the MG Majestor is a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215.5PS and 478.5Nm of torque, making it one of the most powerful offerings in its class. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and is available in both 4x2 and advanced 4x4 configurations.

The intelligent four-wheel-drive system offers 10 terrain modes including Sand, Rock, Mud, Snow and Auto. In Auto mode, the system primarily operates in 2WD for efficiency before automatically switching to 4WD when additional traction is required.

Further strengthening its off-road credentials, the Majestor becomes the first SUV in its segment to offer triple differential locks — front, rear and centre. Additional off-road hardware includes M-Crawl low-speed crawl assist, 219mm ground clearance and an impressive 810mm water-wading capability.

Level 2 ADAS and comprehensive safety package

Safety remains a key focus for MG, with the Majestor equipped with more than 30 safety features. The SUV comes with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking and intelligent headlamp control.

Other safety features include six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, traction control system, roll movement intervention, hill hold control and a 360-degree HD camera system.
