VinFast VF MPV7 to launch today: Everything you need to know
VinFast will launch the VF MPV7 today, a practical, three-row electric people mover aimed at families and fleets.

Vietnamese electric vehicle maker VinFast is set to officially launch its all-electric MPV, the VF MPV7, in India today. Positioned as a practical, family-oriented people mover with strong fleet potential, the MPV enters a niche yet rapidly evolving segment of three-row electric vehicles.
Dual identity strategy
In a distinctive move, VinFast is introducing the MPV under two different names to target separate customer groups. While private buyers will get the VF MPV7, fleet operators will see the same vehicle marketed as the ‘Limo Green’. This dual-branding approach allows the company to tailor its messaging for both personal mobility and commercial applications such as ride-hailing and chauffeur-driven services.
Bookings for the MPV are already open, with a reservation amount set at Rs 21,000.
Rivals
The VF MPV7 will compete in India’s emerging electric MPV space against models like the Kia Carens Clavis EV, Mahindra XEV 9S, and BYD eMax 7 — all of which aim to blend practicality with zero-emission mobility.
Design focused on space
The MPV carries VinFast’s global design identity, seen on models like the VinFast VF6 and VinFast VF7. It features signature LED light bars, vertically stacked headlamps, and aerodynamically styled alloy wheels.
Its upright, boxy proportions are designed to maximise interior space, ensuring comfortable seating for up to seven occupants — a key priority for MPV buyers.
Interior and features
Inside, the VF MPV7 adopts a minimalist layout, centred around a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a floating centre console. While global models skip a traditional instrument cluster, the India-spec version is expected to include a head-up display.
Key features include automatic climate control, an electronic parking brake, steering-mounted controls, a 4-speaker audio system, ABS with EBD, and four airbags — indicating a focus on essential comfort and safety rather than feature overload.
Powertrain and range
The VF MPV7 is powered by a 60.13kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted motor producing 204bhp and 280Nm of torque. It offers a claimed range of up to 450km (NEDC), placing it competitively within its segment.
Fast-charging capability is another highlight, with the battery able to charge from 10 to 70 percent in around 30 minutes using an 80kW DC charger. The MPV also comes with a 10-year battery warranty, addressing long-term ownership concerns.
Ownership benefits and ecosystem push
VinFast is backing the launch with a host of ownership incentives, including buyback options, EV switching benefits of up to Rs 2 lakh, and complimentary charging offers. A residual value programme further promises 75 percent value retention after two years and 55 percent after three years.
To support its EV rollout, VinFast has partnered with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to explore setting up charging infrastructure across 10,000 fuel stations nationwide.
