An IRS officer's twenty-two-year-old daughter was murdered in the Amar Colony area of Southeast Delhi. The victim, who held an engineering degree and was preparing for the UPSC examination, was found strangled with a mobile charging cable.
Preliminary information from the police suggests that sexual assault may also have been involved in the crime. The primary suspect is a former domestic help from Rajasthan who was dismissed from his job approximately a month and a half ago. According to CCTV footage, the suspect was spotted near the residence around six in the morning, allegedly waiting for the victim's parents to leave for the gym before entering the house. The Delhi Police have launched a massive manhunt to apprehend the accused. Forensic teams and senior police officers have arrived at the location to conduct a preliminary investigation. Authorities are also looking into the possibility of an attempted robbery as a motive behind the incident.
