A massive traffic jam in Mumbai triggered by a political protest rally led to a confrontation between a stranded woman commuter and a Maharashtra minister. The demonstration, organised to protest the opposition's stance on the women's reservation bill, brought key roads in the city to a complete standstill for over an hour. A woman, who was delayed in picking up her child from school, lost her patience and confronted the protesters and the minister present at the site. She demanded that the demonstration be moved to an open ground instead of blocking public roads. In response, the minister acknowledged the inconvenience caused to the public but criticised the commuter's behaviour and language towards the police and protesters.
