Second phase of clinical vaccine trial for children begins today at Delhi AIIMS

Amid the raging infection of the deadly coronavirus, children are predicted to be the most vulnerable during the third wave. Hence, the vaccine trials for children bring relief for the parents and the children. After AIIMS Patna, AIIMS Delhi on Monday started the screening of children for the clinical trials of Covaxin, the indigenous Covid-19 vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech and ICMR.

Amongst the 525 volunteers, three groups have been divided into those of various age brackets who will be administered Covaxin vaccine through the intramuscular route and will receive the second dose of Covaxin after 28 days. Watch the report to find out more.
