Covid: India's mega vaccination drive; Vaccine booster shots; more

The Covid vaccination drive is going on in full swing in the country as India set a new record on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday and administered over 2.5 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses on Friday. This is the first time that more than two crore jabs have been administered in a single day.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed medical professionals, healthcare workers and front-line workers who have worked towards making the Covid-19 vaccination drive a success.

On August 31, India administered over 1.30 crore doses, the highest single-day vaccinations so far. India achieved the one-crore doses milestone for the first time on August 27 this year.
