Mass cremations in open on hills of Uttarakhand's Almora | Ground Report

In Uttarakhand's Almora, families are cremating their loved ones in the open forests because crematoriums are refusing to accept Covid victims due to a fear of the virus.

In the last week, Almora witnessed 40 deaths. The cremations, however, are being done by patients only as they receive no support from authorities.
