Pfizer, BioNTech claim their Covid-19 vaccine 90 pc effective in Phase 3 trial

Pfizer Inc and BioNTech SE on Monday said that their Covid-19 vaccine candidate showed 90 per cent effectiveness in Phase 3 trials

Pfizer and German partner BioNTech SE are the first drugmakers to show successful data from a large-scale clinical trial of a coronavirus vaccine.

The shots made by Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech are among 10 possible vaccine candidates in late-stage testing around the world - four of them so far in huge studies in the US.
