Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Examination 2026, authorities have registered a case against a Telegram channel that allegedly attempted to defraud candidates by claiming to provide the examination paper in exchange for money.

According to officials, a Telegram channel named 'UPP Exam Paper' was found offering the purported question paper for 8,000. The channel allegedly shared a QR code and bank account details to collect payments from candidates seeking access to the paper before the examination.

Taking serious note of the matter, an FIR has been registered at the Hussainganj police station on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB). Police have launched an investigation and are gathering information about the operator of the Telegram channel as well as the bank account linked to the alleged scam.

The Recruitment Board has urged candidates not to fall for such claims and to ignore rumours related to paper leaks or the availability of examination papers through unofficial channels. Officials have reiterated that strict action will be taken against those attempting to mislead candidates or disrupt the recruitment process.

UP POLICE CONSTABLE EXAM

The development comes as the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has released the admit cards for the UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination 2026 on its official portal. Candidates who have registered for the recruitment drive can download their admit cards from the UPPRPB website using their registration number and login credentials.

The recruitment drive aims to fill 32,679 vacancies across various units of the Uttar Pradesh Police Department, including Civil Police, Armed Police under the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), the Special Security Force, and Women's Battalion posts.

The written examination is scheduled to be conducted on June 8, June 9, and June 10, 2026. The test will be held in offline mode using OMR sheets. Each question paper will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 300 marks, and candidates will be given 120 minutes to complete the examination.

Authorities have advised candidates to rely only on official notifications and updates issued by the Recruitment Board and to report any suspicious claims related to the examination.
