UPSC CSE Prelims serves as the first stage of the recruitment process for prestigious services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and several other Group A and Group B central services.
Candidates who qualify the Preliminary examination will move on to the Mains examination, followed by the personality test/interview round. Traditionally, the preliminary examination result is declared within 30 to 40 days after the test.
