The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) is all set to announce the West Bengal Higher Secondary (HS) Result 2026 today, May 14, bringing an end to the anxious wait of lakhs of Class 12 students across the state.
As per the official notification, the board will formally declare the results at 10:30 am, while students will be able to check and download their scorecards online from 11 am onwards. Candidates can access their marksheets through digital platforms such as DigiLocker and the UMANG App.
This year, more than 6.35 lakh students from 6,837 schools appeared for the WBCHSE Higher Secondary examinations, making it one of the largest board examination processes in the state. The exams were conducted between February 12 and February 27 under the newly introduced semester-based system.
The council completed the evaluation and tabulation process within just 76 days after the exams concluded, ensuring timely publication of the results. With the last examination held on February 27, the board moved swiftly to finalise the marks and prepare scorecards for students statewide.
The 2025 WBCHSE results recorded an impressive overall pass percentage of 90.79 per cent. Boys secured a pass percentage of 93 per cent, outperforming girls, who achieved 88.88 per cent. Last year, 4,73,919 students appeared for the Higher Secondary examinations.
As the countdown to the result announcement begins, students are advised to keep their roll numbers and registration details ready for quick access to their marksheets once the result link goes live.
