Justice AK Rajan Committee recommends elimination of NEET

The committee led by Justice AK Rajan, which was constituted by the Tamil Nadu government to find the impact of NEET, recommended an immediate elimination of the entrance examination.

In its 165-page report, the committee said that NEET would affect the healthcare infrastructure of Tamil Nadu, bringing a shortage of doctors' appointments in primary health centres and government hospitals.
