Bengal polls: BJP candidate Agnimitra Paul's car attacked in Asansol

During the first phase of the West Bengal elections, clashes erupted between political factions across several constituencies. While Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Agnimitra Paul's car was attacked near a polling booth in Asansol. She said a large boulder shattered the rear windshield of her vehicle. The candidate, seated in the front, escaped unhurt, while security personnel and a secretary in the back sustained minor injuries. Following the incident, a formal police complaint was lodged at the local police station, and an investigation is currently underway. The candidate blamed the ruling state party for the violence, alleging deliberate targeting during the election process.
