Voter turnout 62.59%, delay due to multiple scrutiny of ballot: EC

The Election Commission said on Sunday that the delay in the announcement of the final voter turnout in the Delhi Assembly election was due to the multiple scrutinies of the ballots. The final voter turnout in the Delhi polls is 62.59 per cent, the Election Commission said.

EC's statement came hours after Arvind Kejriwal questioned the poll panel over the delay in the declaration of the final voter turnout.
