The Congress high command on Wednesday finally decided on the name of the chief minister of Karnataka after days of brainstorming and powerplay by the two top contenders – Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar. Veteran party leader Siddaramaiah will return as the chief minister of the state for a second term and state Congress chief DK Shivakumar will be his deputy. Reportedly, former Congress president Sonia Gandhi acted as a peacemaker in the CM face crisis.
