Punjab elections result: AAP will become Congress' replacement, says Raghav Chadha

As the AAP crossed the majority mark in early trends in Punjab, the party's co-in charge in the state, Raghav Chadha said, "We're 'aam aadmi' but when 'Aam Aadmi' rises, the mightiest of thrones shake. Today's an important day in India's history, not only because AAP is winning one more state, but because it has become a national force. AAP will become Congress' replacement."

The result for the 117 assembly seats of Punjab will be declared today, where the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP has emerged as a major contender while the Congress is seeking to retain power in the multi-cornered contest.
