Third phase polling for the Lok Sabha elections began at 7 am on Tuesday and ended at 5 pm. After 10 hours of polling, around 60 per cent of polling was recorded till 5 pm. Voting happened in 93 constituencies that were spread over 11 states and the Union Territories.
However, BJP, Trinamool and Congress workers clashed in various parts of Murshirabad and Jangipur constituencies as polling was marred by violence in West Bengal.
