Bengal polls: PM Modi launches scathing attack on Mamata govt at Kharagpur rally; Didi hits back

As the battle for Bengal intensifies with the phase 1 voting date coming closer, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the people to give the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) a chance to form the next government in the state. At a rally in Bengal's Kharagpur on Saturday, PM Narendra Modi asked for a chance to BJP in the upcoming polls, saying 'we will lay down our lives for you'.

Give us a chance once for five years. We will lay down our lives for you. We will work hard to alleviate your sufferings," PM Modi said as he began listing down the party promises to Bengal. PM Modi said if the BJP is elected to power, the party will ensure "better irrigation, better farming opportunities, better cold storage facilities."
