Samay had first announced the second season of India's Got Latent on his comedy special, Still Alive. While sharing a picture on his Instagram story from the sets of Still Alive, he wrote, "Uski bhi shooting chal rahi hai dostoooo (That's being shot too, friends) (sic)."
The faces of the other panel members were not shown. Comedian Aashish Solanki was only partially visible in the frame.
The confirmation comes after a leaked picture from the alleged set of India's Got Latent Season 2 went viral earlier this month. The photo showed Alia Bhatt and Sharvari seated on a panel with Balraj Singh Ghai and Aashish Solanki. It led to speculation that the actors could appear as guests in the new season, though neither the actors nor the makers have confirmed this.
The show's return has drawn attention because India's Got Latent faced major controversy in 2025 after remarks by Ranveer Allahbadia on the show led to backlash. Samay later addressed the episode in Still Alive.
While speaking about his plans for the new season of India's Got Latent, he said, "Show toh main laaunga bhai kyunki maza aata tha woh show karne mein (I will bring the show back because I enjoyed doing it) (sic)." He further revealed his vision for the new season and added, "Main chahta hoon main ekdum wild show karoon. Internet mein ekdum softy version daalenge. I want to do a wild, wild show (I want to create a completely wild version of the show, while a softer version will go online) (sic)."
