Actor Karishma Tanna shared a video from her South Indian-style baby shower ceremony. She and husband Varun Bangera are gearing up to welcome their first child.
Actor Karishma Tanna on Friday shared a glimpse of her South Indian Godh Bharai (baby shower ceremony) as she and her husband Varun Bangera prepare to welcome their first child. In an Instagram video, the actor gave followers an inside look at the ceremony and the rituals that marked the family celebration.
The video showed Karishma in a traditional saree and gold jewellery, while Varun wore a white kurta. At one point, she said she was feeling nervous and happy. Later in the clip, Varun kissed her as the ceremony continued.

Sharing the video, Karishma wrote, “Still soaking in the love, blessings, and emotions from our very first South Indian style Godh Bharai together (sic).” She also referred to the cultural setting of the ceremony.
In her note, Karishma said, “Witnessing the beautiful Tulu rituals, sacred traditions, mantras, flowers, sarees, and every little custom so closely felt truly magical almost like living a dream we had only imagined (sic).” She added that the poojas, family blessings, and the warmth in every ritual made the day feel “pure, emotional, and deeply special” for both of them and their baby.
She ended the note by writing, “A dream come true in the most beautiful, traditional way. Our hearts are full. Feeling deeply grateful, protected, pampered, and surrounded by love as we step into this beautiful new chapter together (sic).” Varun is from a Mangalorean background, while Karishma is Gujarati.

Karishma and Varun began dating in 2021 and got married in Mumbai in 2022.
In April, Karishma announced her pregnancy on Instagram with a series of pictures from a photoshoot. In the images, the couple wore “Mom” and “Dad” caps. She captioned the post, “A little miracle, our greatest gift, August 2026 (sic),” along with a pink heart with a bow emoji. The post drew congratulatory messages from celebrities and followers.
