The foundation of this enduring relationship was laid by the fathers of Parimal Gunwant Desai and Gautam Bipin Desai, who were childhood friends. Their bond deepened during the independence movement in 1942 when they were imprisoned together in Surat Sub-Jail and Sabarmati Central Jail, serving 1.5 years of hard labor. One of the friends cared for the other's family during his incarceration. After the country's liberation, they pursued higher education together at Pune Agricultural University. The current generation, including Parimal and Gautam, continues this legacy. As one family member states, "My brother, we are not related by blood, but my brother is Gautam Bhai Bipin Bhai Desai." This friendship is now in its fourth generation, extending to their children and grandchildren.
