'Dishom Guru' Shibu Soren, Jharkhand's tribal messiah, passes away at 81

Shibu Soren, the founder of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and a three-time chief minister of Jharkhand, has passed away at the age of 81. Known as 'Dishom Guru', he was a towering figure in Indian politics for four decades, fighting tirelessly for tribal rights. Soren was a champion for the Santhal community and led the movement that resulted in the creation of a separate state of Jharkhand. He was seen by many as a messiah for tribals, working to secure their political rights in post-independence India.
