Bike-borne robbers loot Pathankot man, get attacked with bricks in return
Two bike-borne robbers allegedly looted a man of his mobile phone and Rs 5,000 in Punjab's Pathankot before attempting to target him again moments later. The victim recognised the accused, attacked them with bricks, and got into a scuffle, while the entire incident was captured on CCTV.
Two motorcycle-borne robbers allegedly attacked a man walking on a road in Punjab’s Pathankot and robbed him of his mobile phone and Rs 5,000 cash. The victim later identified the accused and hurled a brick at them, causing them to fall off their motorcycle before a scuffle broke out between the two sides.
According to the victim, he was returning home from his shop when two men on a motorcycle stopped him, removed the key from his motorcycle, and snatched his mobile phone and Rs 5,000 cash from his pocket. After the incident, the victim started walking towards his aunt’s house nearby.
The victim alleged that the same two men again tried to target him while he was walking. After recognising the accused, he picked up a brick lying on the road and threw it at them from a distance, causing one of the robbers to fall from the motorcycle. The victim then confronted both accused and got into a physical altercation with them.
During the scuffle, the robbers allegedly brandished a datar and attempted to flee. The victim again threw a brick at them and injured them, but the accused managed to escape by threatening him with the sharp-edged weapon.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, and the video has now gone viral on social media.
Police have registered a case against the two accused based on the victim’s statement and started an investigation. Officials have assured that the accused will be arrested soon.
