TVK chief Vijay's wife Sangeetha files for divorce

TVK chief and actor Vijay's wife Sangeetha has filed for divorce citing allegations of adultery and mental cruelty. According to the 12-page petition, Sangeeta discovered in April 2021 that Vijay was involved in an adulterous relationship with an actress, causing her deep emotional pain. The petition states that despite initial assurances to end the relationship, he continued the association without remorse. Between September 2021 and February 2022, Sangeetha attempted to resolve the matter amicably through counsel, considering their two children. The petition further alleges that Vijay increasingly neglected her emotionally, mentally and physically, withdrew from conjugal relations, excluded her from his social and professional life, and deliberately disrespected her.
