Will carry forward Periyar, MGR's legacy: CM Vijay in Trichy

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay, who held a massive rally in Tiruchirappalli on Monday, thanked the people for voting for him and his party and said he will carry forward Periyar, MGR's legacy.

Addressing the public, Vijay criticised the DMK for allegedly mocking voters as illiterate, asserting that such insults have jeopardized the opposition's political future. He highlighted its commitment to fulfilling electoral promises within its first month, contrasting its actions with the previous government's handling of public funds and governance. Furthermore, the Vijay addressed concerns regarding law and order, attributing the rise in drug abuse to past administrative failures. To combat crime, the government is set to inaugurate a new fingerprint scheme aimed at expediting investigations and chargesheets. The ruling party also accused the opposition of attempting secret alliances and horse-trading to prevent the current administration from taking power, reaffirming its dedication to serving the state's citizens transparently.
