Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the Congress party in Parliament, accusing former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi of 'vote theft'. Referring to the Allahabad High Court judgment that set aside her election, Shah countered opposition allegations against the Election Commission. He stated, 'To cover up that vote theft, the parliament brought a law that there can be no case against the Prime Minister.' Shah also targeted Rahul Gandhi, terming his campaign as a 'Ghuspaithiya Bachao Yatra' (Save Infiltrators March). He further alleged that a case was filed in Delhi regarding Sonia Gandhi becoming a voter before acquiring citizenship. Defending the Election Commission's impartiality, Shah criticized INDIA bloc leaders for questioning the poll body only when they lose elections.
