Assam flood death toll reaches 11, Barpeta worst affected district

The death toll due to floods in Assam on Sunday reached 11 as heavy rains lashed several districts of the northeastern state on Sunday.

Of the 28 affected districts, Barpeta is the worst hit with 7.35 lakh people being affected due to massive rains.

Media reports said the Brahmaputra is flowing above its danger mark in state's capital Guwahati.
