As temple town of Ayodhya gears up for the grand Ram Mandir bhoomi pujan ceremony on August 5, India Today's Ankit Tyagi brings a ground report from the holy city.

Massive preparations are underway in the temple town of Ayodhya for a grand Ram Mandir ceremony.

On August 5, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The organisers have also invited religious leaders of different faiths. The main litigant in the Ayodhya Dispute case and the head of Sunni Waqf board are among the invitees.

While leaders of the Ram Janmabhoomi agitation, LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi, are likely to attend the Ram Mandir bhumi pujan event via video-conferencing.

After a priest and 15 cops were tested positive for Covid-19, strict guidelines have been put in place for the ceremony.
