Babul Supriyo announces departure from politics, BJP through Facebook post

Former Union minister and BJP Lok Sabha MP Babul Supriyo on Saturday in a Facebook post announced he has decided to quit politics. This comes weeks after Babul Supriyo was dropped from the Narendra Modi government in the Cabinet reshuffle and expansion earlier this month.

However, Babul Supriyo said he is quitting politics because he needs time for himself. He said while he joined politics to do social work, it is no longer necessary to be in politics to help people.
