Bhabanipur bypoll: A prestige battle for Mamata Banerjee

West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee filed her nomination papers for the Bhabanipur assembly by-poll to be held on September 30. Mamata Banerjee will be pitted against BJP's Priyanka Tribrewal and Left Front's Srijeb Biswas.

Mamata Banerjee, who lost to BJP's Suvendu Adhikari in Nandigram in the recent West Bengal Assembly polls, needs to be elected within six months to retain her chief ministership.
