Bilkis Bano to India Today: My kids want to become lawyers

Talking exclusively to India Today, Bilkis Bano said all she wanted for all these years was justice. Bano added that she never wanted revenge for the convicted people.

On being asked what is her future plan, she said, "I want to take the fight forward after the court's verdict so that the 11 men convicted by the court are not granted parole."

"Now that culprits have got punishment, we want to go back to our village and live our lives peacefully. My kids also want to become lawyers," she added.

On being asked how did she cope with the circumstances all these years, Bilkis Bano added, "We had many well wishers during our tough times."
