Goa police have arrested 22-year-old Soham Nayak, son of a BJP municipal corporator from South Goa, for allegedly sexually exploiting over 20 to 30 minor girls over the past three years. According to investigators, Naik allegedly coerced victims into sexual acts, then threatened to release videos to force them into silence. The case came to light when Nayak allegedly showed videos of these sexual acts to friends during an alcohol session, sparking alarm and public outrage. Protests erupted after locals learnt of the allegations, mounting pressure on authorities. Police arrested Nayak on Sunday night and a detailed investigation is underway to identify victims, understand the full extent of the abuse, and provide necessary psychological support. The case echoes the Prajwal Revanna scandal, where explicit videos allegedly involving multiple women triggered national outrage and led to his arrest.
