BJP a party of all classes, not just Lingayat-centric: Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai

Speaking at the India Today Conclave 2021, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was a now a party of all classes in Karnataka and not just dependent on the Lingayat community.

"The narrative that BJP is a Lingayat-centric party is because most BJP MPs and MLAs get elected from North Karnataka. Without the support of all classes, no party could come to power. SCs, STs, OBCs, Vokkaligas have also supported the party. The BJP is now a party of all classes in Karnataka," Basavaraj Bommai said.
