Cleric slams Actress-MP Nusrat Jahan for worshiping Durga

Actor-MP Nusrat Jahan on Monday faced backlash from a cleric for celebrating Durga Puja. The cleric termed her actions as "anti-Islamic" and said, "Nusrat Jahan has performed puja which is totally anti-Islamic. She is not practising Islam."

While reasoning his argument, the cleric said, "Islam does not allow its followers to pray before any other god other than the almighty Allah." He even asked Nusrat Jahan to change her name.
