Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday slammed the Congress and said it has no right to ask BJP questions about terrorism.
Replying to the debate on Operation Sindoor in Rajya Sabha, Shah said, "Congress has no right to ask the BJP questions about terrorism. The only reason terrorism spread in the country was because of Congress' votebank and appeasement politics."
Shah halos criticized previous Congress governments for their approach to terrorism, including the Shimla Agreement and border issues with China, and targeted former Home Minister P. Chidambaram for allegedly questioning Pakistani involvement in the attack. He highlighted a 70% reduction in terrorist incidents in Kashmir from June 2015 to May 2025 compared to 2004-2014, the banning of organisations like PFI and Jamaat-e-Islami, and zero recruitment of Kashmiri youth into terror groups in the last six months.
