Congress' Lingayat leader calls Karnataka Home Minister a monkey

Congress' Lingayat leader Shamanur Shivashankarappa calls Karnataka Home Minister MB Patil a monkey. The fighting within the party is only bringing more trouble for the party.

Following Shivashankarappa's comment, a war of words took place within Karnataka Congress over Lingayats.

On Sunday, Patil said Shamanur is a senior leader and like a father figure. However, Patil added that his comments show that he is greedy and only concerned about his family.
