Congress mocks Modi govt for seeking global help to contain Covid crisis

Days after the US agreed to export vaccine raw material to India, Congress has mocked the Modi govt for seeking help from countries to contain the Covid crisis. Former Union minister and senior leader Jairam Ramesh has hit out at the Modi government for seeking global help to fight India's Covid crisis.

He said, "While we should welcome all international help, isn't it ironic that the self-styled Vishwaguru and global pharmacy, a $5 trillion economy to be, has been reduced to this pathetic situation by ego & repeated denial of the problem. Yet, there's no end to megalomania & self-promotion."
