The incident occurred at a police station in Hyderabad where a tribal woman was allegedly mistreated. This incident sparked a series of events, resulting in the detention of YSRTP chief YS Sharmila, and state BJP chief DK Aruna. The situation escalated further as clashes erupted between the BJP cadres and police forces, leaving the city in pandemonium.
