CRPF internal findings reveal intel failure led to Pulwama attack

Internal findings of the CRPF have revealed that the terror attack of February 14 on a CRPF convoy that killed 40 personnel, was a massive intelligence failure. The CRPF finding is in sharp contrast to what the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) claimed, that the Pulwama terror attack was not an intelligence failure.

The CRPF inquiry report states that though there was a general alert regarding an IED threat during the period, there was no specific threat from a car-borne suicide bomber. The report points out that no such "input" was shared by any of the intelligence agencies in Kashmir Valley where the forces were forewarned to take precautionary steps.
