Cyclone Yaas: Bengal, Odisha on high alert, NDRF teams deployed in coastal districts

West Bengal and Odisha are on high alert as very severe Cyclone Yaas is set to strike. NDRF is also on alert and has deployed 32 teams in the coastal districts of Bengal and 44 teams in Odisha's coastal districts.

According to the Meteorological Department, Cyclone Yaas has intensified into a severe cyclonic storm and is likely to intensify further and across north Odisha coast as a very severe cyclonic storm around Wednesday.
