After the Supreme Court released videos and photos of burnt cash allegedly recovered from Justice Yashwant Varma's residence on Saturday, the Delhi High Court judge strongly denied that any currency notes were removed or seized from his building following a fire in his storeroom last week. In response to queries from Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna, conveyed through the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, Justice Varma stated, "Assuming without admitting that the video was taken immediately at the time of the incident at the site, none of it appears to have been recovered or seized."
