Dialogue and diplomacy only way forward to end West Asia crisis: PM Modi

Amid escalating tensions in West Asia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed the Parliament and said that dialogue and diplomacy are the only way forward to end the crisis.

PM Modi further said India has successfully repatriated approximately 3.75 lakh Indian citizens safely. Around 1,000 Indians have returned from Iran, of which more than 700 are medical students. Thousands of Indian students study in Indian schools located in Gulf countries. The government has emphasised that it remains sensitive and alert to the situation. Additionally, India has expanded its energy import sources from 27 countries to 41 countries to meet its growing energy requirements.
