An investigation by the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (UPATS) is unravelling a suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed terror module involving a network of doctors across multiple states. The probe centres on Dr. Shaheen Shahid, a Lucknow-based doctor arrested in Faridabad and accused of leading the terror group's women's wing in India. Other key figures include Dr. Mohammad Arif, a cardiology student detained in Kanpur, and Dr. Nisar-ul-Hassan, a doctor previously dismissed for anti-national activities who is now missing. According to a senior official, the suspects are considered 'terror facilitators'. The investigation also focuses on Faridabad's Al-Falah University, which has come under scrutiny as a potential hub for the network.
