Facial recognition system is not mandatory: UIDAI CEO Ajay Bhushan

UIDAI, the agency that looks after Aadhaar project, is making authentication based on face recognition mandatory from September. For now face recognition will be a requirement only for people trying to get a new SIM card using Aadhaar authentication, but there are questions about the robustness of the feature.
