The deadlock between farmers from several states and the central government failed to end as the third round of talks remained inconclusive. The sources had said the government may amend the farm laws but, the protesting farmers remained adamant on the scrapping of the laws and not the amendments.
The farmers said they want the farm laws to be withdrawn. The government has called for another round of talks and the two sides have agreed to meet again on December 9 (Wednesday). Meanwhile, farmers' leaders said they will carry on with the 'Bharat Bandh' on December 8, as per plans.
